Although the Muslims in Uzbekistan are known as some of the most committed among the Central Asian countries, Uzbeks in New York are not as faithful to their religion. Most of the Uzbeks choose to worship at the Turkish Eyup Sultan Mosque in Brighton Beach rather than the more conservative mosques near the Pakistani community on Bath Avenue.
